How does Argus turn money into life time?
Your net salary and your working hours per month give you your hourly rate. An expense divided by that rate is the time you work for it. At $25 an hour, a $5 coffee costs you 12 minutes.
Do I need an account or have to connect my bank account?
No. Argus works without sign-up and without bank access. You add your expenses yourself – it only takes seconds and makes sure you notice every single one.
Where is my data stored?
Only on your phone. We never see your entries, your salary, or your goals. Learn more in our privacy policy.
How much does Argus cost?
Argus is free. Premium costs $3.99 a month, $24.99 a year (with a 7-day free trial), or $59.99 once. Prices shown: United States. In other countries, your local store prices apply.
Which devices is Argus available for?
For iPhone (App Store) and Android smartphones (Google Play). Argus is available in German, English, Spanish, Italian, French, and Romanian.
How do I cancel my Premium subscription?
iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Argus → Cancel Subscription.
Android: Google Play Store → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Argus → Cancel.
Premium stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
I have a new phone. How do I get Premium back?
Open the Premium page in Argus and tap “Restore purchases.” Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple Account or Google account you used to buy it.
Will my entries move to my new phone?
Your data lives only on your device. It’s saved with your regular device backup (iCloud Backup or Google backup) and restored from that backup when you set up your new phone.
How does voice entry work?
Press and hold the coin at the bottom right or use the voice widget. Say, for example, “$40 gas” or “$4.50 bakery and $12 movies.” Argus recognizes the amount and category and shows you the entries before saving.
How do I set up the widget?
iPhone: Touch and hold the Home Screen → “+” at the top left → Argus → choose a size.
Android: Touch and hold an empty spot → Widgets → Argus → drag it to your home screen.
How do I reset Argus?
In your profile, under “Reset app data.” Heads up: this deletes all entries, goals, and settings on your device. A Premium purchase is kept.
My hourly rate isn’t right.
Open Profile → Personal data and check your net salary and working hours per month. For full-time work, that’s usually around 160–173 hours.
What happens to my data when I get a new phone?
Argus stores your data only on your phone – and it is automatically included in your phone’s regular backup. When you set up a new device from that backup, all your entries, dream goals and settings are back.
iPhone: Settings → your name → iCloud → iCloud Backup → turn on “Back Up This iPhone”.
Android: usually Settings → Google → Backup → turn on “Backup by Google One” (the name may differ by manufacturer).
The backup is stored in your own iCloud or Google account – we have no access to it. Moving between iPhone and Android is not possible yet.
